Celebrating silver jubilee in the industry
Established in 1995, Vig Graphics celebrated its 25-year journey in the print & packaging industry by flagging off its innovation — t he first flute laminator manufactured in India. Driving automation in the printing and packaging industry to make its presence in providing quality machines under the ‘Make in India’ campaign. SHANHE Carton Machine

Vikram Sarin, director of the company said, “At Vig Graphics, we are continually innovating, turning ideas into reality, and simplifying the production processes. We want to be the one-stop shop that can handle all requirements from identifying customer needs, assessing the best product requirement, supplying machinery, and offering sales service and maintenance. We strongly believe in our people, our culture, and our ability to deliver value to all our customers. Since the early days of manufacturing, we’ve been singularly focused on helping our customers accomplish their missions through technical know-how, skill development, and innovation to fast-track automation. No matter what the challenge, our mission is always critical to us.”
Vig Graphics is the winner of the IIP Pacmachine 2022 award for excellence in manufacturing. Sarin adds, “We had taken the initiative four years ago to indigenize all the machines being imported from China. For the last three years, we have already successfully installed more than 50 machines ‘Made in India’. Our industry is heavily dependent on Chinese machinery and many types of machines come from China into the packaging industry. We proudly acknowledge that our Flute Laminator Machine, Made in India is much superior to the Chinese make and is not only more sturdy but has many such extra features inbuilt so as to bring ease in production for our Indian users. By innovating this production in India, we have just started on a journey to contribute to the growth of our economy and majorly help in import substitution.
“ Our future plans are to consistently keep making more and more machines until we cover 100% of the import industry. We expect that our processes will instigate or motivate other manufacturers and fellow manufacturers who are in the industry for the last 20-30 years to tighten up their laces and act on ‘Make in India- Made for the World.” By the end of May, we will be able to export our first machine. Our factory is located in Faridabad, where we have our own complete in-house production unit, laser cutting and bending unit, paint and powder coating, and finishing unit.
He adds, “At Vig Graphics, we are growing and continually evolving, thanks to the perseverance and technical growth of our employees. Together, we are simplifying the production processes. We have set a plan in motion for a promising future that we strongly believe in.”

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive
The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.
As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The packaging industry growth will match the GDP growth in volume terms and surpass it by at least 3% in terms of nominal growth allowing for price inflation in energy, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.
The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are grown similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.
For responsible and sustainable packaging, with its attendant regulations and compliances, there is significant headroom to grow in India and the region. Our coverage includes the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and to waste collection, sorting, and recycling.
We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers. This is a large and complex canvas – the only thing that can work is your agile thinking and innovation together with our continuous learning and persistence.
The coming year looks to be an up year in this region, and this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing communication – in our rich and highly targeted business platform with human resources on the ground.
