This property has the potential to break a record for the highest rental property price in the DC area (out of properties that were publicly listed through Bright MLS), the Washington Business Journal reports.

While this listing certainly stands out, it isn’t the only high-price rental on the market in McLean. This home’s listing agent, Jennifer Jo of TTR Sotheby’s, has also listed 1111 Towlston Rd. for $26,500 per month.

The Peacock Station mansion spans 19,438 square feet, with eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, and it sits on nearly two acres of land.

It was built in 2015, and last sold in 2020 for $5,500,000.

The foyer makes a bold statement with embellished marble floors, domed ceilings (complete with crystal chandeliers), and two grand staircases with ornate steel handrails.

The two-story great room is a breathtaking space, with gold embellishments and marble floors. The mantle spans nearly the full height of the tall room, and a large crystal chandelier and gold ceiling details draw the eyes up.

The family room’s ceiling is high and slanted, with intricate decorative details and another chandelier. Arched doorways peek into the kitchen nearby.

The kitchen has rare stone counters, marble floors, custom cabinetry, and a walk-in pantry.

The main-level primary suite has its own fireplace and a sitting room, plus an attached bathroom. The ceilings in this space are intricate as well, with a geometric pattern covering much of the space above the bed. There are six additional bedrooms upstairs, each with its own en suite bathroom.

In the lower level, entertainment spaces abound. It contains a home theater, a billiards room, a kitchen, a fitness room, and a spa. There is also a guest suite complete with a sitting room.

For outdoor entertaining, head out back for the large pool or to explore the fountains and gardens throughout the area.
