The 25 Best Wedding Cufflinks of 2024

Cufflinks are a must for grooms (or groomsmen) opting for a tuxedo or a classic suit. While these accessories aren't a necessity if the wedding is a more casual affair, they're a wonderful way to add a little personality to a simple shirt—and we love how many options are out there right now.

Whether you're on the market for a very understated sterling silver rectangle or onyx stud, or you want to get a bit more creative with a skull or horseshoe, there truly is a cufflink out there for every style. If you're thinking a cufflink might make just the right finishing touch to elevate your wedding-day look, we researched the very best ones for you so you don't have to.

We scoured our favorite menswear shops and spoke to style experts to help you find the wedding-day cufflinks you'll fall in love with. With material, color, size, personalization options, and price in mind, we narrowed it down to the best wedding cufflinks for grooms and groomsmen.

Let's be honest: Everything's better when it is personalized! Grooms can engrave their initials on either gold or silver cufflinks for a one-of-a-kind look. Consider combining your initials with your partner's initials to celebrate your upcoming union. Or get a set for each of your groomsmen with custom lettering.

Cufflinks usually come in metal or wood, but can also be embellished with semi-precious or precious stones, and can also be made of more unusual materials such as nylon fabric like Brooks Brothers Knot Cufflinks. What material you go for really comes down to personal preference, though for a more formal wedding, metal and precious materials tends to be the way to go, as in Van Cleef & Arpels Pierre Arpels Pastilles White Gold, Diamond & Agate Cufflink.

If you're not really sure what color cufflink makes sense for your wedding, menswear styling professor Jeffrey Ampratwum provides the following guideline: "When in doubt, the groomsmen should have silver links and the groom should have gold links," he says.

Wardrobe stylist Holly Katz concurs, suggesting that silver or gold are the most classic choices that you can't go wrong with. That said, it's totally fine to write your own rules by wearing a cufflink in your favorite color, or in a color that matches a detail on your partner's outfit. For instance, you can add a touch of blue with Gucci's Interlocking Lapis Lazuli Cufflinks.

A personalized cufflink can make such a lovely sentimental gesture on your wedding day. "A monogram is nice or even just an initial is a really elegant touch," says Katz. We also love styles that are personalizable with your wedding date or sweet messages for a little extra romance, like Muujee Weddings Wedding Day Metal Cufflinks.

If you already own cufflinks and are used to wearing them to events or for work, it probably makes sense for you to wear them for your wedding as well (or even if you're a guest). It's also expected that you would wear cufflinks if your wedding (or the wedding you're attending) is on the more formal side.

"Grooms that are more traditional can certainly wear this look on their wedding day as something special, maybe that's been handed down from a relative or a friend," Katz says. Meanwhile, for Ampratwum, "All dress shirts should have a French cuff with cufflinks."

If you're not used to putting on cufflinks, you can always get a loved one to help or look it up on YouTube. In the meantime, Katz explains, "You have to get a French cuff shirt that allows for cufflinks. You hold the cuff together lining up the holes in the cuff. You then thread the link through both holes of the cuff and fasten the link to hold the cuff together."

"One hundred percent you can," says Katz. “It's considered jewelry and something to be worn on special occasions."
